Marsanne. Counoise. Sounds intriguing, but how do you pronounce them? We will demystify these esoteric Rhone varietals as well as others as we taste and learn all about them and why they thrive in Santa Barbara wine country, what foods to pair with them, and how delicious they are to drink. Venue: Fess Parker Winery Lawn
Bring your low-profile beach chairs or a blanket and settle in for the evening on the lawn and under the stars! The Cubanissimo Food Truck will be on hand serving authentic Cuban cuisine for purchase and of course Fess Parker wine will be available for purchase as well. We'll be getting the evening started with music by the Drive-In Romeos playing their Rockin’ R&B and who's sound is influenced from 1940's through early ‘60s.
The evening’s feature will be The Jayhawkers, starring Jeff Chandler, Fess Parker, and Nicole Maurey. Before the U.S. Civil War, rebel leader Luke Darcy sees himself as leader of a new independent Republic of Kansas, but the military governor sends ex-raider Cam Bleeker (played by Fess Parker) to capture Darcy. But Bleeker has his own motive to see Darcy captured: he's responsible for Bleeker's wife's death.
All profits from this evening’s ticket sales will be donated to Old Yeller Ranch Rescue. OYRR is a 501c3 dedicated to rescuing dogs that have
run out of shelter time. The OYRR facility fosters dogs as an intermediate home until a forever home can be found for them. Visit www.oyrr.org for more information.
