2009 Ashley's Pinot Noir
“The 2009 Pinot Noir Ashley's is a big super-ripe wine endowed with dark fruit, cola, sweet spices, vanilla and sweet French oak, all of which come together nicely. Ashley’s is made in a decidedly forward, flashy style and the oak (50% new barrels) is also a bit much for the wine’s structure. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2021.” ~ Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Scents of black cherry, raspberry, cinnamon and all spice combine with graham cracker, vanilla and sandalwood on the nose. Layers of black cherry, red currant and cranberry are enhanced by a touch of earth and minerals that are rounded out by vanilla and baking spices for a long lingering finish on the palate.
