Sta. Rita Hills

Pinot Noir
Description
The delicate, persistent bubbles and straw color with a hint of salmon are harbingers of great things to come. You will detect hints of brioche, ginger and lemon rind on the nose. The palate offers up gorgeous citrus and tangerine flavors tempered by mineral notes and a delicious yeasty/pastry dough element as a result of extended time laying en tirage.
"Produced from 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay, the 2014 Blanc de Noirs delivers notes of wild strawberries and freshly sliced apples with hints of baking bread and acacia honey. The very youthful palate has great vibrancy and finesse, marked by a racy acid line and very fine bubbles supporting the toasty, apple-laced flavors, finishing with a touch of minerals. Very impressive." ~ Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"...It’s a beautiful wine and certainly one of the finest I’ve tasted from the central coast. Apple blossom, white flowers, brioche and hints of toasted bread all emerge from this clean, nicely textured and balanced beauty that’s a joy to drink." ~ Jeb Dunnuck
"...offers lovely textural depth and translucent energy. There is terrific purity to the red berry and orchard fruit flavors. 10% Chardonnay in the blend seems to work well." ~ Antonio Galloni's Vinous
