Description

"...is deep ruby/purple-colored and reluctantly gives up notes of Bing cherries, scorched earth and charcoal. It fleshes out nicely on the palate, however, and is concentrated and rich as well as fresh and focused, with building tannins. It's a beautiful wine..." ~ Jeb Dunnuck

"Rich, ripe and powerful, featuring concentrated dark cherry and berry pie flavors that are flanked by toasty notes. Unctuously spicy, with a savory edge on the long, minerally finish. Drink now through 2023." ~ Wine Spectator

"...one of the more unctuous, succulent Pinot in this range. That style works very nicely here, as the wine's soft curves and overall raciness are quite attractive. Inky blue/purplish berry fruit spice, menthol and wild flowers build into the flamboyant finish. There are no hard edges in this inviting, open-knit Pinot." ~ Antonio Galloni's Vinous

Our clonal selection Pinot Noirs are made with the intent of isolating some of the very best individual lots in our cellar and capturing the nuances that each specific clone offers. This has remained a very small proect - 14 barrels of wine - and delivers some of our finest expressions of Pinot Noir.

The Clone 115 Pinot Noir has attractive aromas of red cherry, raspberry, red plum, chocolate and clove. The palate has focused flavors of black cherry, black raspberry, grilled sage, plum, vanilla and cinnamon backed up with a streak of minerality and brisk acidity.
