2019 Parker West Pinot Noir
"...offers more stem influence as well as some meaty, nutty, spicy nuances. It’s beautiful on the palate as well, offering medium to full body, ripe, polished tannins, a great mid-palate, and outstanding length. Fermented with one-third stems and aged 17 months in 36% new oak, this terrific Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir will deliver the goods over the coming 5-7 years." ~ Jeb Dunnuck
"...shows a beguiling interplay of aromas, flavors and textures. Rose petal, mint, sweet red cherry, spice and a touch of whole cluster savoriness all grace this mid-weight, inviting Pinot from Fess Parker." ~ Antonio Galloni's Vinous
"Dried cranberry and cherry converge with dusty hints of leather and sage on the nose of this bottling. The palate is very earthy, with hints of game, soil and mushrooms that wrap around the dried currant and cranberry flavors." ~ Wine Enthusiast
Our single vineyard and small lot releases enable us to deliver some of our finest expressions of Pinot Noir by concentrating on specific vineyards, clonal selections or techniques. The Parker West vineyard is a dynamic site planted in sandy soils on a windswept hillside several miles from the cold Pacific Ocean.
This Pinot Noir exhibits a true sense of place offering forward dark cherry, raspberry and floral notes supported by attractive mineral and spicy notes. This is a structured Pinot Noir that retains elegance and gracefulness due to bright natural acidity.
