Description

Our clonal selection Pinot Noirs are made with the intent of isolating some of the very best individual lots in our cellar and capturing the nuances that each specific clone offers. This has remained a very small project - 14 barrels of wine - and delivers some of our finest expressions of Pinot Noir.

The Clone 115 Pinot Noir has attractive aromas of red cherry, raspberry, red plum, chocolate and clove. The palate has focused flavors of black cherry, black raspberry, grilled sage, plum, vanilla and cinnamon backed up with a streak of minerality and brisk acidity.

Wine Critic Reviews
"Opulent aromas of dried cherry, cola spice and loamy earth offer a comforting fatness on the nose of this clonal expression. The palate's mouthfeel is quite viscous but contained by a zesty acidity, as those dark-cherry-cola flavors arise." ~ Wine Enthusiast "More fruit-filled and juicy, the 2019 Pinot Noir Clone 115 offers ample cherry and mulberry notes as well as background cigar, spice, and floral nuances. It too is medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, with lots of character." ~ Jeb Dunnuck "...delicate and floral, with lovely red/purplish berry fruit and flower accents that play off its mid-weight structure. The 2019 has fine energy and the balance to develop well for a number of years to come. I especially admire the energy here." ~ Antonio Galloni's Vinous
