A dark ruby in the glass, our 2021 Grenache is fruit-forward and aromatic with a crisp acidity. Dark fruit aromas of black raspberry, blackberry and black cherry steer the aromatics backed by baking spices, anise and lavender. We decided to blend this vintage with a touch of Syrah to add tannin and depth. On the palate, black cherry and blackberry preserve shine through rounded out by herbs de Provence, dark chocolate and vanilla.
Grenache’s spice lends itself to be paired with spiced and herb-heavy dishes. Roasted meat and vegetables or a grilled tuna steak are natural choices along with many ethnic foods.
