For many years, we’ve proudly partnered with The Wine Society — the UK’s oldest member-owned wine co-operative — to produce a special Exhibition Chardonnay exclusively for their members. Due to shifting buying trends in the UK market, we recently found ourselves with a small amount of this wine remaining in our inventory. Rather than let this Chardonnay sit in the cellar, we wanted to offer our wine club members a rare opportunity to enjoy it at a very special price.
While the label may look a little different, the wine inside is unmistakably Fess Parker. This is the same Santa Barbara County Chardonnay style our members have come to know and love and this vintage is still drinking great!
While unexpected, our partnership with The Wine Society remains strong, and we look forward to continuing our work together for years to come. This is a unique chance to experience a wine created for one of the world’s most respected wine communities — available here for a limited time while inventory remains.
The Society's Exhibition wines are classic examples of the world's best regions and styles. The range takes its name from the International Exhibition held at the Albert Hall in 1874 where The Wine Society was founded.
Although Santa Barbara County is in southern California, it is a much cooler region than you'd expect thanks to the cooling effect of the Pacific fog that rolls through the Santa Ynez mountains here. The vineyards are covered in the early morning, with the fog only evaporating around midday, providing the perfect conditions for growing elegant yet ripe chardonnay. This excellent example is made especially for us by Fess Parker Winery and has been fermented and aged in barrel to create a wine with wonderful class and weight, its ripe orchard fruit balanced nicely by the oak.
